1.3. Step 2 – Fold to create the box
The trick how to make a heart shaped box out of paper is to always keep the fold of the tab on the side close to the edge of the heart shape and hot glue small amounts together. First, Apply a little hot glue on the outer edge of the bottom of the heart so that the fold is right at the edge of the heart. Press and hold until the glue dries.
After this first area is attached, we’ll be putting the glue on the bottom of the heart. Flip the heart over and apply a little glue close to the edge. Quickly turn the heart over and press the serrations into the glue until secure. Repeat this process again, turning the heart back to apply glue, and then flipping the heart over to keep the side in place. Keep repeating this until you reach the point at the bottom of the heart.
1.4. Step 3 – Glue and complete the bottom of the box
Similar to step 1 on how to make heart shaped boxes, cut a rectangular strip 15cm long and 5cm wide. However, you must cut the jagged part opposite to the rectangular strip on the other half of the heart to glue it to the other half. Then apply glue to the bottom of the heart and hold until fixed.
Continue gluing all the sawtooth teeth to the remaining half of the heart until ending at the end of the heart. Then, glue the remaining 2 parts of the heart box wall together to form the complete bottom of the heart. Use another sheet of cardboard and stick it to the bottom of the box to make the bottom of the box more rigid and sturdy.

Similar to step 1, cut a larger heart shape to make the lid of the box. In this step, you cut 2 rectangular strips about 3cm wide. You continue to cut the serrations to fix it on the newly cut heart.
Unlike the step of making the box, to create the lid of the box, we will glue the edges inside the heart. Turn the heart so that the dark side is facing down, and attach a short length of glue to the inside edge of the heart. Fix the serrations around the heart border to the final point. Do the same for the remaining half of the heart. Then fix the excess paper of the two halves of the heart to complete the lid of the box.

Draw a small line of hot glue along the edge of the heart and gently place the side support tabs on top of it aligning the end of the side support with the innermost tip of the heart. Continue this process around the entire heart one section at a time. Once you reach the bottom of the heart, make sure the fold (where the two pieces meet) of the side support is aligned with the tip of the heart. Once you reach the beginning, attach the edge of the side support to the other edge.
